What counts as a dental emergency?
Severe or worsening tooth pain, a broken or chipped tooth, a knocked-out tooth, an abscess or facial swelling, a lost crown or filling causing pain, and uncontrolled bleeding after an injury all count as dental emergencies. If you're unsure, call and we'll help you decide quickly.
Can you really see me today?
In most cases, yes. We deliberately hold emergency slots open every day we're open, so urgent cases aren't queued behind routine appointments. Call the clinic and we'll tell you the next available slot on the spot.
What should I do with a knocked-out tooth before I arrive?
Hold the tooth by the crown, never the root. Rinse it gently with milk or saline (not water, and don't scrub it). If you can, place it back in the socket and bite gently on a clean cloth; otherwise keep it in milk or saliva and get to us as fast as possible. Time matters most in the first hour.
How much does emergency treatment cost?
Your emergency exam and X-ray are quoted upfront before anything starts, and we confirm the cost of any treatment with you before proceeding. No inflated emergency surcharges and no surprise bills. You can also split payments with Tabby or Tamara.
Do you treat emergencies after regular hours?
We're open six days a week until 8:00 PM, including weekends. If you're in pain outside those hours, call or WhatsApp us and our team will advise on first-aid steps and book you into the earliest emergency slot.
Do you offer sedation for nervous patients?
Yes. We offer calming sedation options for anxious patients, and Dr. Afaq is known for easing dental anxiety with a slow, fully-explained approach. Tell us when you book and we'll plan the visit around your comfort.
